• The Founders

Dr. Gregg Li, also known by Dr. G by his proteges and graduate students, founded this advisory company in 1991. The goal then was initially to help small families to manage their family businesses. G. Li & Company or GliCo later would become the official name.

Other principals such as Prof. Robert Tricker, the Father of Modern Corporate Governance; Prof. Alfred Ho (HKU), Prof. CK Cho (PolyU), Prof. Charles Foley, and many other practitioners and academics later joined forces; and subsequently, professional teams were established one by one. After 30 plus years, over thousands of successful projects, many of these early principals have since retired. Prof. Gordon Redding, recently at INSEAD, now writes from his home in Cambridge. Prof. Tricker continues to publish from Brixham in the UK. Everyone is still working to help families in trouble, somewhere around the world.

Today, new professional teams at GliCo are helping families reach into outer Space and preparing their future leaders for the NewSpace Economy that has arrived. Standing on the shoulders of giants and patriarchs, we begin to see a bigger and more inclusive world. We have gained the Overview Perspective, like astronauts. Lately, Mr. Richard Leung and Mr. Kenny Pang, formerly with UBS, are examples of professionals that are joining our aspirational challenge of taking families into Outer Space.

Leading this charge is our Principal Consultant Marshall Jen.  Go Marshall!

This has now become our challenge...taking them and extending their family contributions beyond time and space.
